Bev Clark is a playwright, poet and drama adjudicator.
Now retired from directing, producing and drama facilitating. She worked in the creative industries for nearly forty years, mainly as a youth theatre director working in theatres in Bristol, Essex and the
Northwest. In 2011 she was received by her Majesty the Queen for her work with young people in the Arts.

Some of her plays have been festival winners since 2009 to the present and have
been performed by different groups all over the UK.
She was the Artistic Director of Hand in Hand Theatre 2008-2018 and then Bus Stop
Productions 2019-2024. Their final tour was The Regina Monologues and her own
play S.P.A.C.E. two plays written by women, for women with women.
Now Bev concentrates on writing and has a new anthology of poetry – Behind the
Mask under her poetry Nome de plume Bev Montague Clark out in July 2026.
Proceeds of which will go to the charity Tomorrow’s Women.
She is still continuing her adjudicating and this year has attended Hereford Speech
and Drama Festival, Worcester Drama Festival and Alderley Edge Speech and
Drama Festival.
Bev performs at open mics regularly on Wirral and Merseyside, many of her poems
are published in magazines and anthologies.
