In March, Bus Stop Productions presented a new unpublished play by Bev Clark called Before the Sun Goes Dark: an apocalyptic love story with a flavour of paradise lost. This was runner up at the First Cheshire Drama Festival and won awards for best new play and best director with nominations for best actor and best actress.
In April, Bus Stop took Baggage to the Leverhulme drama festival (merseyside) after its success at the Irish Liverpool festival last year. Baggage was awarded the runners up trophy with nominations for best presentation, best actress and adjudicators award for best duo.
In May Baggage will perform again at the Welwyn drama festival on Friday 17th and RIP Mr Shakespeare will be performed at Sheffield university festival on 10th May …good luck to them!
news in that The Black Eyes is to be performed by a Liverpool school ….watch this space and of course in July Baggage has a week’s run at Droylsden little theatre.
